For the first time this season, Texas A&M football won back to back games after beating Mississippi State soundly. What did we learn about these teams?

The Aggies cruised to victory against Mississippi State, starting the first win streak of their season. It has been win, lose, win, lose for the Aggies before now, but they may finally be trending in the right direction.

Mississippi State, on the other hand, is now on a four-game losing streak. They play Arkansas next week, so hopefully, that’ll change things for the Bulldogs, but right now it isn’t looking too good.

What did we learn about these two teams after their early Saturday tilt?

3. Mississippi State has some issues

Yes, they are missing quite a few due to injury and suspensions on defense. No one is forgetting that at all. That being said though, they allowed the Aggies to run up and down the field once they got things going and they were just unable to keep up.

It brings a lot of questions up for this team. First and foremost, how serious are those injuries and how long are those suspensions because man do they need some help on that side. On the offensive side, even with Kylin Hill getting going, Garrett Shrader just didn’t have enough to get things done. Is he the best this team has to put up? Those turnovers were killers for the Bulldogs for sure.

Simply put, Mississippi State is struggling. One thing is for sure, Dan Mullen was a great coach for this program and I am not sure that Joe Moorhead has what it takes to bring the program back to where it was or to be any better than what Mullen put up.
