The NCAA is now looking into student-athletes being able to get compensated for their likeness. Which NCAA Football players would have been the most fun?

The NCAA voted unanimously on October 29th, 2019  to open up student-athletes to be paid for their images and likeness starting in 2021. This decision that was brought down from the board of the NCAA now opens up a huge conversation about college athletes finally being compensated. Now that the conversation is at full speed, many people’s biggest concern is when the next NCAA College Football video game will be released.

One of the most beloved video games in all of the sports has had people try to replicate, but no one has been able to bring back the magic of the real NCAA Football games. EA Sports was the original creator of the games and has been in talks to revive the franchise, having one last hurdle of the NCAA to pass.

EA Sports was sued in early 2014 using student-athletes likeness without compensation and had to pay out 4o million dollars back to the NCAA. This lawsuit effectively made EA Sports have to shut down their franchise to avoid further liability.

Fast forward to 2019 and the talks of a new video game are steadily rising. The decision to now allow student-athletes to be compensated gives way to EA Sports being able to bring back the franchise once and for all. While bringing back the franchise will be much to the joy of gamers everywhere, we take a look back on what could have been.

Here are the five players that everyone missed out on being able to play as since the franchise was shut down in 2014.
