It was a wild week in SEC football. Alabama rolled over yet another opponent and LSU remained red-hot with a win over Auburn.

We are on the back nine of the college football season here at the SEC power rankings headquarters and this week the Georgia vs. Florida game takes place.

Here at headquarters where the Ol’ ball coach is sipping a Jack and Coke, he’s screaming at the top of his lungs, “It’s still a dang cocktail party!” He, along with the braintrust at headquarters, is scratching his head asking, “Since when is Jacksonville known as the Bold City?”

Either we just aren’t Southern enough, or no one calls Jacksonville the Bold City.

There are some interesting storylines heading into Week 10. There are teams at the bottom of the conference that are looking to scrape some wins and loose change from between the cushions of the chairs in the meeting rooms to get to a bowl game.

Rivalry games can decide both the SEC East (this week) and the SEC West (next week). The Volunteers look like a team no one wants to play at this point in the season. Georgia is still trying to figure out the forward pass after shutting out a team in Kentucky that needs to look at some Knute Rockne era Notre Dame footage.

The schedule is pretty light this week with the exception of the Bold City — wait, sorry, what’s that coach? “It’s still a dang Cocktail Party! Pour me another one!” From Woo Pig Sooie, to War Eagle, Rollin’ Tides and Bowls for Eggs, here are your power rankings going into Week 10.
