Upsets continue across the country as college football remains unpredictable. The Blitz podcast crew wraps up Week 9 before previewing the Week 10 action.

The unpredictability is part of the appeal of college football, and each week seems more unpredictable than the last as the season continues to progress.

We’ve gotten a paradigm shifting upset each of the last three weeks, starting with Georgia’s stunning home loss to South Carolina, continuing with Wisconsin’s road loss at Illinois, and then once more with Oklahoma coming up just short in its comeback bid against Kansas State.

The College Football Playoff picture seems relatively clear at the moment, with Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, and Clemson seeming to separate themselves from the rest of the pack, but it only takes any given Saturday for the established order to be shaken up.

How unlikely was Oklahoma’s loss to Kansas State? Were they other outcomes that would be considered more surprising than the Sooners’ defeat in the Little Apple? Who scored the best win and the worst loss of the week? Zach and John discuss that and more in the first segment of this week’s edition of the Saturday Blitz Podcast.

In the second segment, our two hosts atone for their worst picks of the previous weeks, holding themselves accountable for their misfires. They then dive into a relatively weak Week 10 slate, one that still remains filled with plenty of intrigue. The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is the headliner, but all eyes will be on the AAC on Saturday night when Memphis and SMU meet up.

In the final segment, Zach and John offer up their locks and upset picks of the week as they try to get the better of Vegas.

There’s plenty of disagreement to go around this week, which means things are back to normal between the two hosts.
