The tide has turned in the Big Ten football power rankings, as Wisconsin falls outside the top three and Michigan slides back in following a busy Week 9.
With six conference games and two non-conference games, all 14 members of the Big Ten were in action this past Saturday.
Week 9 was a crucial week for many teams, headlined by the matchup between Ohio State and Wisconsin. It was a slow start but the Buckeyes got on the board first midway through the second quarter and never looked back, defeating the Badgers 38-7.
Ohio State wasn’t the only East division team to pick up a big win either, as Penn State remained undefeated with a 28-7 road win over Michigan State. As well as Michigan finishing off their non-conference schedule with a blowout win over Notre Dame. Indiana and Rutgers also gave the East division some to talk about with wins of their own.
On the other side of the conference, Minnesota extended their lead in the West division with a 52-10 win over Maryland, to keep their undefeated season alive and well. Iowa took care of business on the road versus Northwestern and Illinois kept their postseason hopes alive with a 24-6 win over Purdue.
Week 10 won’t be as eventful as there is only four games on slate for the conference. But for now, let’s take a look at the updated power rankings for the Big Ten:
