Looking to remain perfect with a Halloween night matchup with West Virginia, Baylor football is looking to make some noise on national TV.

All aboard the Baylor football hype train. Matt Rhule has worked his magic in just a couple of years and the Bears are 7-0 and ranked No. 12 in the country.

On Thursday night, however, they will welcome a struggling West Virginia team to town, but it won’t be a walk in the park as Oklahoma, Texas and Iowa State proved last week that no win in the Big 12 is given. Underdogs continue to play up to their opponents’ levels and upsets have been taking place left and right.

Will we see that on Thursday with the unbeaten Bears against the Mountaineers in Waco? Halloween night could cause some whacky events.

What could happen on Thursday night between Baylor and West Virginia?

3. John Lovett rushes for 100 yards

Baylor isn’t exactly a run-heavy team and a big reason for that is Charlie Brewer, but the Bears have one of the more underrated backs in the conference in John Lovett.

The junior has 446 yards and four touchdowns on the season while averaging 6.7 yards per touch and he’s been heating up ever since being shut down with nine yards on five carries against Rice a month ago. He’ll continue his hot streak on Thursday night and the staff will even feed the hot hand more than 10 times as he’ll reach the 100-yard mark for the first time this season.

Lovett is just too talented to keep bottled up and I think Matt Rhule is starting to realize that. The more Lovett touches the ball, the better the offense becomes.

Give Lovett 16 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown on Thursday night.
