1. No. 22 Kansas State at Kansas

Who would have thought this would actually be a game to watch before the season started? No one really had high hopes for either school, even with both having new coaches. However, no matter what happens the rest of the season, both programs have taken steps this season and Kansas State has a chance to finish in the top 25.

Kansas State is coming off of a huge win against Oklahoma and now sits at 5-2 with a chance to already be bowl eligible if it beats in-state rival Kansas. The Wildcats are a tough team that plays with discipline, waiting for the opposing team to make the mistake.

Quarterback Skylar Thompson is a threat to run and throw and is playing good football. He’s only getting better and has become a big part of their game plan.

Kansas started off the season looking like no improvement would happen after the Jayhawks barely beat an FCS opponent and lost to Coastal Carolina. However, they ended up beating Boston College, which was a big deal and just came off a big win for their program, beating Texas Tech. The week prior to that, they almost beat Texas on the road, but lost on a last-second field goal. Les Miles changed offensive coordinators a few weeks ago and the improvement shows.

Kansas State is a six-point favorite, but this is a perfect upset spot with the Wildcats coming off their win over Oklahoma. This should be an interesting game to watch, especially if you are a Big 12 fan.
