Boise State Football: 3 bold predictions for November 2019
Boise State football comes into November with a shot to make a run at a New Year’s Six Bowl. Will the Broncos take care of business in November?
The Boise State football team has surprised a lot of people with their season sitting at 6-1 going into November. After losing key pieces from their 2018 team including their former quarterback Brett Rypien and running back Alexander Mattison to the NFL. The Broncos have had a resurgence in 2019 with a freshman phenom taking over the reins at QB.
That quarterback is Hank Bachmeier. The true freshman has played himself on the list of the best freshman in the country through the first half of 2019. He has thrown for over 1,500 yards and ten touchdowns in just six games played. He has faced some injury concerns coming into November as he was unable to play in the lone Bronco loss to BYU.
The Broncos are looking to get Bachmeier back in their first game of November against San Jose State, but Head Coach Bryan Harsin has been tight-lipped on injury updates. Regardless of who is at quarterback for Boise State, the Broncos are still aiming for that top Group of Five spot. Behind three different teams in the AP Poll, the Broncos have some work to do to get back to the top of the conversation.
At No. 21, the Broncos are still knocking at the door as the College Football Playoff rankings come out in just a few weeks. Boise State will have to get past five different teams inside of November with three of those games being on the road. You could say the game at Utah State on Nov. 23 is the toughest game the Broncos have left on the remaining schedule.
