1. Defense forces turnovers

What can you say about the Boise State defense so far? The Broncos have one of the best pass rushers in the nation and have been incredible upfront stopping the run. The Broncos have only allowed 124 rushing yards per game and been unbelievable at getting to the quarterback. Star defensive end Curtis Weaver comes into November with 9.5 sacks and only getting better each game.

The one problem with the Bronco defense is their inability to force turnovers on defense. As good as they have been all over the field, they have really struggled to turn teams over. Normally, the turnover stat is one that is almost an anomaly with a bit of luck and opportunity involved. Boise State has only four forced turnovers on the year and this has people scratching their heads.

This stat has to change in November. The Broncos are way too good on defense to have this stat stay status quo. Boise State has forced quarterbacks out of the pocket and been able to get to the quarterback at will. Expect the Broncos to cash in when it comes to forcing turnovers and putting teams on their heels. We should see quite a few more turnovers in November than we did in the three previous months of the season.
