1. Cougars win the Apple Cup

What are bold predictions for if you can’t throw a little fuel on the fire? The Cougars and the Huskies will face off on Thanksgiving weekend in a game that everyone in college football looks forward to. Regardless of the records of both teams, this game is one that people wait all year for. Washington State will have to go on the road to face the Huskies in Seattle in 2019.

The Huskies have had a disappointing year after rising in the polls and being in the top ten for most of the year. After dropping games to California, Oregon and Stanford, the Huskies were all but eliminated from the Pac-12 Championship contention. UW had high hopes coming into the year with their transfer quarterback Jacob Eason taking over. The Huskies now look more vulnerable than ever with a matchup with the Cougars coming up in late November.

If the Cougars could pull this off, this would be the first win against the Huskies that Mike Leach could put on his resume. You could say that Leach is tired of losing to Washington or the Cougars are tired of being the little brother in the state. Expect Washington State to go into Seattle with nothing to lose and a whole lot of pride to end their season on the terms.
