3. The game was incredibly physical

It was a hard-hitting, physical affair this past Saturday afternoon. There was pad-clacking and paint-swapping all game long. However, the Miami Hurricanes got the better of this physical affair.

Both the Hurricanes and the Seminoles did a good job of stalemating each other’s offensive lines. Neither Cam Akers nor DeeJay Dallas had much room to work in this one. Both lines got good pressure on the quarterback with the Hurricanes getting to Alex Hornibrook nine times.

It was testy and chippy just as a rivalry should be. It was low scoring until the Florida State defense ran out of gas.

The Miami offensive line did hold up in key spots when they wanted to take shots down the field; this might have been the most complete game the Hurricanes played so far this season.

However, both the Hurricanes and Seminoles have ways to go in the trenches.
