Oklahoma State Football: 3 takeaways from big win over TCU in Week 10
Oklahoma State football was looking to build off a big win over Iowa State last week and the Cowboys did just that against TCU.
Oklahoma State picked up a huge win over Iowa State a week ago and the Cowboys were hoping to avoid a letdown at home against TCU and did just that, beating the Horned Frogs
Although Tylan Wallace was just ruled out for the season with a torn ACL, Oklahoma State had to feel good about its chances for the remainder of the Big 12 season. Plus, picking up a big win over a suddenly hot TCU team that was also coming off an upset would have been a major confidence-booster.
Oh, and Chuba Hubbard continued his dark-horse Heisman campaign with yet another 200-yard performance.
What’d we learn from the Cowboys’ win?
3. Max Duggan is going to be a thorn for years to come
No, this isn’t strictly about Oklahoma State, but Max Duggan showed last week in an upset win over Texas and again on Saturday versus the Cowboys that he’s going to be a thorn in the rest of the Big 12’s side for the rest of his career.
And he’s only a freshman.
Duggan had a strong game against the Cowboys, proving to be the offense, for the most part, for the Horned Frogs. He did throw three picks which was ultimately the decider, but he did enough to keep the Horned Frogs in the game on the road until late in the second half.
A few weeks ago, this team didn’t seem to have an FBS-caliber quarterback on the roster, but Duggan has stepped up to the plate.
