2. Zack Moss is a huge catalyst for the Utah offense

Zack Moss was injured for a few games, and while Utah was able to manage in his absence the lack of his presence in the backfield was instantly noticeable. In similar fashion, the return of Moss to the Utah sidelines has made a world of difference for the Utes offense as he continues to put up one big game after another.

Moss racked up his third 100-yard rushing game in four games since returning from injury. The tailback finished with 100 rushing yards and a touchdown on 27 carries, proving himself capable of shouldering workhorse duty for the Utes on the ground. That allowed Utah to control the football for nine more minutes than Washington, reducing the threat of a comeback by the Huskies.

Moss added five receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown catch, showcasing his versatility out of the backfield as a safety valve for Huntley. When Moss is healthy, he has been one of the top running backs in the Pac-12 and across the entire country.

What that ultimately means, though, is that Utah cannot afford for Moss to get injured again this season. With the margin of error so razor-thin for the Pac-12 this season, the Utes must get to the Pac-12 title game without any further blemishes if they hope to play for a bigger prize in the new year.
