Group of Five New Year’s Six Watch, Week 11: App State, SMU drop

Welcome to the watch. We try to find the best of the best. Who will represent the Group of Five in the New Year’s Six this winter?

The watch had was shaken by the fall to undefeated realms. The SMU Mustangs were hunted and struck down by the Memphis Tigers. The Men from the Mountains were clawed by the Eagles of Southern Georgia. The Bearcats and the Broncos each survived scares this weekend.

What does it all mean for the watch? The Kingdom of the Americas rule and reign in the watch. Four of the five teams on the watch are from the American. The men from the Mountains in the West are the lone representative in the watch not from the American.

The AAC has the best chance to represent the Group of Five in the New Year’s Six. There are some still lurking, however. The Tribe from the State of San Diego watch while others decimate themselves. The Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech and the Men from the Mountains have an outside chance, but would need a lot of help.
