Week 11 was a snoozefest in Big Ten football. But with two match ups of Top 25 teams in Week 12, the West division could have a big week.

If you were expecting an exciting weekend of Big Ten football this past Saturday, then you were also pretty disappointed with the results. Eight teams were in action in four conference games, with three of the four being blowouts.

The Michigan Wolverines beat down a collapsing Maryland team 38-7, The Illinois Illini enjoyed their midseason tune up game, beating the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 38-10 and the Indiana Hoosiers continued to roll with a 34-3 win over the Northwestern Wildcats.

However, Big Ten fans were treated to just one game that was entertaining to watch. In a back-and-forth grudge match against two teams searching for a big win, the Purdue Boilermakers outlasted the Nebraska Cornhuskers, winning by a score of 31-27.

Now that we’ve recapped last week, what does Week 12 have in store? There are five conference games but none bigger than the match up between undefeated Penn State and undefeated Minnesota. And then the weekend is finished off with another ranked match up between Wisconsin and Iowa.

It’s a big week for the West Division as the top three teams are in play and the results of these games could be a determining factor of who represents the division in the conference title game.

But before we start this big weekend, let’s taking a look at the updated power rankings for the Big Ten.
