1. Playoff noise emerges in form of top-10 ranking

OK, so this is more of a post-game bold prediction. The Bears will win this game on the road and while it may not be the most impressive resume addition, any time you beat a competent conference foe away from home, you earn some recognition from the national media, and in this case, the playoff committee.

The Bears will improve to 9-0 on the season and the committee will be forced to look closely at their ranking. And in the spirit of being bold, I’m going to predict a top-10 ranking comes Baylor’s way on Tuesday evening when the Week 12 poll is released.

What that means is that the Bears could be in a great position to make a move in the playoff rankings down the stretch with teams like Oklahoma and Texas still on the schedule and a potential rematch with the Sooners in the conference title game. If they win out and beat Oklahoma again in the championship game, can you really keep them out of the playoff?

Waco will be buzzing with playoff noise after this TCU win.

Matt Rhule may be the hottest commodity on the market even though he’s been pretty avid about staying in Waco, especially when the NFL came calling last offseason.
