1. Jake Fromm’s consistency has been lacking

Jake Fromm has been tough to figure out this season. He came into the year as one of the top NFL draft prospects in the nation and one of the main reasons Justin Fields decided to transfer to Ohio State in order to get some time as a starter. But lately, he’s looked somewhat pedestrian.

Since passing for 288 yards and two touchdowns on 24-of-29 completions in a win over Tennessee back on Oct. 5, Fromm has looked average.

In fact, the junior quarterback followed that sparkling performance up with a three-interception performance in a home overtime loss to South Carolina. His outing and Georgia loss were both inexplicable and it was something no one had expected. And then he was just 9-for-12 with 35 yards through the air against Kentucky in an ugly win. Yes, that line is real.

Fromm broke out again versus Florida with 279 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-30 completions and looked like his old self.

But then Saturday’s game happened. He completed just 13-of-29 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. The completion percentage is completely uncharacteristic, but a product of his recent inconsistency.

Fromm will need to clean that up before the SEC title game.
