Miami football dominated the Louisville Cardinals at home in Week 11. What did we learn from the Hurricanes’ impressive performance?

The Miami Hurricanes rolled over the Louisville Cardinals 52-27 at home. Miami freshman quarterback  Jarren Williams set a school record with six touchdown passes and the Hurricanes ran for 197 yards in the blowout victory against the Cardinals.

Louisville, on the other hand, played one of their worst games of the season on both sides of the ball. The Cardinals committed 14 penalties for 121 yards, turned the ball over three times, and surrendered 449 yards of total offense.

What did we win from the Hurricanes’ dominant win?

3. Uncharacteristic performance by Louisville

The Louisville Cardinals are by no means perfect. They’ve found ways to win games despite their lack of depth and their defensive woes. The Cardinals have taken better care of the ball, and the scheme covers up their poor offensive line.

Despite of all of their imperfections, first-year head coach Scott Satterfield has had Louisville playing heady disciplined football; they didn’t play that way against Miami.

Louisville was uncharacteristically sloppy with penalties committing 14 of them. They turned the ball over three times; this game got out of hand quickly. When you don’t have much margin for error, you can’t afford to play sloppy. It showed today versus Miami.
