1. Baylor Bears (No. 12 down to No. 13)

Like the rest of the teams on this list, Baylor was penalized for taking care of business in Week 11. Sure, this was to make room for Minnesota who vaulted all the way to No. 8 after beating Minnesota, but the committee is just not giving enough love to the Bears who are now 9-0.

Luckily Baylor has a chance to prove itself in Week 12 against Oklahoma. If the Bears can beat the Sooners, you can bet the committee will believe in this team enough to move them up.

Charlie Brewer didn’t have his best game in a triple-overtime win over TCU and maybe it was the fact that the Bears needed three extra frames to beat an average Big 12 team on the road that made the committee weary. Still, it’s hard to overlook a 9-0 record, but if the Bears finish the regular season 12-0, they will be the team looking to represent the conference in the playoff.

It’s too late to call this team a pretender because it has proven time and time again that it can take care of business even if it’s not in the prettiest fashion.

An undefeated Baylor team needs to be higher than No. 13 in the rankings, but it could very well get the Minnesota treatment with a win this weekend.
