Navy has been a solid Group of Five team that has slid under the radar for most of 2019. Their triple-option offense often gets ignored but the Midshipmen have put up 40 points a game and crushed their opponents with 350 yards rushing a game. Many don’t like to watch the triple-option but there is a definite component to the offense working for Navy right now.

The Midshipmen have to put their season on the line when they go to South Bend on Saturday afternoon. The No. 16 Notre Dame Fighting Irish have dropped two games this year, both at the hands of ranked opponents. They are now on a two-game win streak and are looking to get an outside shot at a solid bowl game coming down the stretch.

Navy has been able to stop the pass all year only giving up 201 passing yards a game. This will be put to the test when Ian Book takes over for the Irish at home.

Going into South Bend is never easy, but especially tough when you have the Irish trying to bounce back and prove themselves after getting run out of the building against Michigan. Watch for the Midshipmen to have trouble with ND on Saturday.
