We are just about three quarters of the way through the 2019 college football season. Let’s take a look at who will be on upset alert as we enter Week 12.

In Week 11, we were all able to witness the very best regular season game thus far when the LSU Tigers stormed into Tuscaloosa and took down Alabama.

Technically, the Crimson Tide were favored in this game and, therefore, we could have considered LSU’s 46-41 win on Nick Saban’s home turf as an “upset”. However, this would be a relatively weak upset given that the Tigers were ranked higher and both of these teams are very good.

The bigger upset of the weekend was No. 17 Minnesota earned a 31-26 victory over the No. 4 Penn State Nittany Lions and effectively ruined their College Football Playoff hopes. SMU, Boise State, Baylor, and Oklahoma all escaped being upset with very close games.

In Week 12, we will get to see much bigger upsets, which will please those of us who love to watch the beautiful tragedies that occur weekly in college football.
