Utah football is coming back off their bye week to take on a resurgent UCLA team that has won three in a row. Can the Utes keep their playoff hopes alive?

Utah football is back after the bye week with a tough test against UCLA. If you told me a month ago that this would be the Utes toughest game remaining this season, there is no chance I would’ve believed you.

But yet here we are, as the Bruins sit at 4-2 in Pac-12 play this season. Since getting blown out by Oregon State, UCLA has won three in a row, furthering the madness at the bottom of the Pac-12 and clawing their way towards bowl eligibility. This is a game that Chip Kelly could really use to find some sort of success from his 2019 season, as he has his football team playing well.

On the Utah sideline, the pressure is mounting on a potential playoff berth. The committee moved the Utes to No. 6 in the country in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, and they’re breathing down the necks of the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide. The key is not to get complacent.

This team has as much talent as anyone in the country, and needs to do its job to finish out the season. For the game against UCLA, here are Utah’s three keys to victory.
