Minnesota won over Penn State in Week 11 was one of the biggest in program history. See what it did to this week’s Big Ten football power rankings.

Week 11 in the Big Ten Football conference was one of the biggest and most important weeks it will see in the 2019 season. With Minnesota’s win over Penn State, the Golden Gophers are in prime position to represent the West division in the Big Ten title game. It also requires Penn State to win out and hope for a head-to-head tie breaker over Ohio State for a potential rematch in Indianapolis.

While Minnesota’s win was big, the game that is being over shadowed is that of the Illini and the Spartans. Illinois, down 21 points at the start of the fourth quarter, extended their win streak to four games after a come back victory against the Spartans.

There was also another big time match up for the West division. So while Ohio State was having a field day versus Maryland, and Purdue edged out Northwestern, the Wisconsin Badgers kept their Big Ten title hopes alive with a two point win over Iowa.

What does Week 12 have in store for us? Minnesota faces another test as they go on the road to take on Iowa. Michigan and Michigan State partake in their annual in-state rivalry game. And Penn State looks to bounce back versus a surprising Indiana team.

But for now, let’s take a look at the updated power rankings for the Big Ten.
