The Purdue Boilermakers won on Saturday but given the score, it was not all that impressive. But it could be the last win for Purdue this season. Following their bye week this Saturday, the Boilermakers take on Wisconsin and Indiana. A win over either team would be a great way to end the season.

The Michigan State Spartans keep falling. Following their fourth quarter meltdown versus Illinois, the Spartans are hanging on by a thread and not in the standings but as a program. While Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan continue to progress upwards, the Spartans can’t seem to find their footing, A bowl is more than likely, but what they need is a win over Michigan this weekend.

The Illinois Illini are going bowling for the first time since 2014. A once lost season is now their best this decade. Illinois is off this week but finishes the regular season with a road game versus Iowa and a home game against Northwestern. Not only have the Illini clinched  bowl but are in prime position for a winning season that could result in eight or even nine victories.

Some believe the Indiana Hoosiers should be ranked on the back end of the playoff rankings while others argue they haven’t beaten anyone that’s worth such a ranking. Well now the Hoosiers get another chance as the take on Penn State. The Nittany Lions are coming off their first loss of the season and the Hoosiers could take advantage of a wounded team.
