College Football Playoff Rankings 2019: Projected Top 25, Week 13
By Zach Bigalke
Chuba Hubbard racked up 122 yards and a touchdown to keep himself atop the national leaderboard in rushing yardage as Oklahoma State ran away with a 31-13 win over Kansas in Stillwater. With the win the Cowboys could move up a spot or two in the College Football Playoff rankings even as they sit outside the Big 12 title race.
As Hubbard led a 243-yard day by the Cowboys ground game, the Oklahoma State defense held the visiting Jayhawks to just 39 rushing yards on 24 carries. The defense also forced an interception by each of the three Kansas quarterbacks that passed the football on Saturday, with sophomore safety Kolby Harvell-Peel nabbing two of those picks.
While Oklahoma State is out of the Big 12 race after taking three conference losses earlier in the year, they are now on a three-game winning streak since the end of October. The Pokes head to Morgantown next weekend for their final road game against West Virginia, before closing out the regular season at home in the Bedlam game against rival Oklahoma. If Mike Gundy’s crew beats the Sooners, it would cause major ripples throughout the College Football Playoff race.
