No. 10 Oklahoma football erased a 21-point halftime deficit to defeat No. 13 Baylor on the road Saturday night. Let’s overreact to the 34-31 Sooner victory.

Oklahoma completed a remarkable comeback in Saturday night’s Week 12 prime time game, defeating Baylor, 34-31. The Sooners trailed 28-3 at one point in the second quarter and trailed by 21 points at halftime. The comeback is the largest in OU’s program history.

OU’s win snaps an 11-game Baylor winning streak and knocks the Bears out of the CFP conversation for the foreseeable future. It’s likely that both these teams will meet in the Big 12 Championship Game in the beginning of December.

OU quarterback Jalen Hurts was the hero, running 27 times for 114 yards and throwing four touchdown passes.

The Sooners and head coach Lincoln Riley will attempt to continue padding their résumé for the College Football Playoff Committee. They’ll next face TCU and travel to Oklahoma State before the season-ending Big 12 title game against the league’s second-place finisher.

With OU winning a road game against a ranked team, it’s almost guaranteed that the Sooners will remain in the CFP’s Top 10 this week.

Let’s overreact to Oklahoma’s win against Baylor.
