3. Utah had the player advantage

In addition to having the more experienced team — UCLA starts or plays over 50 percent freshmen — Utah had the better players.

The Utes had the upper-hand in the trenches, and they took advantage of those strengths. The Utes had five sacks and were in the backfield all game long. Bruins quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson had little time to through all night long. The Bruins could get nothing offensively especially on the ground running for just 1.4 yards per carry.

The Utes, on the other hand, got whatever they wanted offensively.

The Utes ran for over 200 yards, and Utes quarterback Tyler Huntley had 335 yards passing. The Bruins helped the Utes by committing five turnovers, but the Utes superior athletes took advantage of those missteps by the Bruins.

The Bruins had issues all game long trying to catch Moss and bring him to the ground all game long. The Utes were bigger, stronger and faster. As the game wore on, they took advantage of those on their way to a win.
