1. Oklahoma Sooners (No. 10 up to No. 9)

How does the playoff committee reward the No. 10 team in the country that went on the road to come from 25 points down to beat an undefeated Baylor team? By moving them up one spot.

That seems like highway robbery, especially since the committee could have made no controversial moves by just flipping Oklahoma and Minnesota. Instead, they moved Penn State up as well despite a less impressive victory at home over Indiana. Sure, the Hoosiers were ranked in the AP Top 25, but they weren’t exactly Big Ten contenders.

Baylor, on the other hand, hadn’t lost a game this season and had College GameDay in Waco for the big game. Oklahoma wasn’t fazed by the 28-3 deficit in the first half and marched back to win 34-31 and Jalen Hurts had his sort of Heisman moment in the victory.

Oklahoma may control its own destiny, but it’ll not need some help from the likes of Ohio State (to beat Penn State) if it wants to move up a spot over the Nittany Lions.

To me, the Sooners are one of the 5-6 best teams in the country and to have them at No. 9 is almost criminal.
