Big wins, rough losses, huge injuries, and more are in the podcast as we discuss Week 12 action before turning to look at college football’s Week 13 games.

Week 12 featured plenty of excitement on a weekend when all of the 25 teams ranked by the College Football Playoff selection committee were in action. There was some shakeup throughout the rankings, as two of the last five unbeaten teams sustained their first defeat of the season. We also saw some nominal upsets in Big 12 country that turned the conference on its head.

That discussion marks the first segment in this week’s Saturday Blitz Podcast. We offer up a look at the best wins, but we also show how Tua Tagovailoa’s injury had a greater impact than any single loss of the weekend that will reverberate far beyond the result at Mississippi State. Also on tap are the biggest surprises of the weekend and handing out game balls to the best players of the weekend on both sides of the ball.

In the second segment, we turn our attention to the penultimate weekend of November and what might happen for some key games against the spread. (NOTE: Due to a podcast recording schedule that fell earlier this week than usual, we are working with opening-line point spreads.)

As always, we spin off our upset picks and locks of the week in the final segment before shifting attention from our eyeballs to our stomachs and offering up food and drink suggestions for the upcoming weekend.

All that and more is in store for listeners this week in an extended Week 13 edition of the Saturday Blitz Podcast. Use the player above or follow the link to Spreaker to download for your offline listening pleasure.
