2. Tennessee at Missouri

Going into the season, both teams had much higher expectations than where they currently sit. However, while both teams sit at 5-5 heading into the weekend, they each have different feelings about where they are.

Missouri came into the year with a postseason ban hanging over them, and while they appealed it, there still hasn’t been any official word that I’m aware of.

Even with that ban, they was a lot of hype around the Tigers as many expected them to be a dark-horse to challenge Georgia in the SEC East. They welcomed transfer quarterback Kelly Bryant and were figured to make a run in the East. However, things did not turn out the way they thought. They are currently on a four-game losing streak with each of those losses coming against SEC East opponents. Their offense has scored 26 points in the last four games combined and will be looking for a much different performance this weekend.

Tennessee started off the season as bad as you can. This has been well-documented as the Volunteers lost their opening two games to Georgia State and BYU. However, since those two losses they are 5-3 with their only losses in that stretch coming against top 10 teams in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

They are currently on a three-game winning streak and with Missouri and Vanderbilt left on their schedule, they are eying a bowl appearance. They have turned their season around and will look to finish on a high note.

Missouri is currently favored by four points. Expect a close game the whole way.
