2. Brock Purdy steals the show, throws five touchdown passes

Let’s face it, Brock Purdy is probably the most underrated quarterback in college football and if he was on a team like Oklahoma or Ohio State, he’d probably be getting more Heisman love.

In his second full season as the starting quarterback, the sophomore has blown all of his previous career-bests out of the water. He has 3,203 yards and 22 touchdowns this season which is about 1,000 more yards and six more touchdown passes than he had in 2018. He’s also completing 67 percent of his throws and has eight interceptions in 373 attempts as opposed to seven in 220 last year.

Purdy will continue his hot streak against a lackluster Kansas team, following up one of his best career games versus Texas with another 300-plus yard performance with five scores.

Sure, Purdy threw five touchdown passes a couple of weeks ago against Oklahoma, but matching that impressive mark for the second time in three weeks is insane. He’ll also have no turnovers and he’ll complete 75 percent of his throws.

Purdy will be playing on Sundays soon enough, but Iowa State is lucky enough to have him for at least one more year.
