It’s been an interesting season for Notre Dame football and some see it as a disappointment, but the Irish can still win 10 games.

The quest for 10 regular season wins continues on Saturday for Notre Dame as the Irish host a struggling Boston College team with plenty of quarterback issues.

Notre Dame is currently on a three-game winning streak after losing in blowout fashion at Michigan. A victory over the Eagles wouldn’t be all that surprising given the talent difference and home-field advantage, but the Irish need to assert dominance in South Bend.

They will look to continue their recent hot streak on Saturday afternoon and will need a big offensive day from guys like Ian Book and Chase Claypool again.

What could we see take place at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday?

3. Chase Claypool has best game of the year

If you’re a defense that’s facing Notre Dame, you have to game plan specifically for the tight ends as well as the physical specimen that is Chase Claypool.

The 6-4, 230-pound senior is nearly impossible to defense against and he can make 50/50 balls look more like 80/20. He is also coming off three straight monster games, combining for over 300 yards with 20 catches and five touchdowns. He had four touchdown receptions against Navy alone, but his best game will come against Boston College.

The Eagles’ defensive backfield is one of the worst in the nation, allowing 300-plus yards per game through the air and Claypool will exploit that weakness.

Claypool will finish the game with three touchdown catches and nine catches for over 150 yards. He’s been putting himself on the NFL map lately and that will continue on Saturday.
