Ohio State football cruised to victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions. Will this be enough to push them into the No. 1 spot in the rankings?

The Ohio State Buckeyes entered this home matchup against the Penn State Nittany Lions with a perfect, 10-0 record. This record puts them at No. 2 in the nation behind the LSU Tigers. As for Penn State, they were 9-1, with their lone mark in the loss column coming against Minnesota. Coach James Franklin’s squad was still ranked at No. 8 despite this loss.

The game started off with two back-to-back long drives by the Buckeyes, with only one resulting in a touchdown. The second failed due to a fumble on the goal line by Buckeye quarterback, Justin Fields.

By halftime, the Buckeyes led 14-0. Quickly after the break, the Buckeyes went up 21-0. But, the Nittany Lions had an answer. They forced two more fumbles and scored a pair of touchdowns themselves. The game got as close as 21-17 before the Buckeyes began to pull away again.

By the end, the Buckeyes improved to 11-0, winning 28-17.
