How did the Saturday before Thanksgiving shake up the College Football Playoff rankings? Here are our Top 25 projections heading into Week 14 action.

For some College Football Playoff and New Year’s Six contenders, the last weekend before Thanksgiving is something of a bye week. Clemson and Florida took actual byes before their intersectional state rivalry games against South Carolina and Florida State respectively. Others, like Alabama and Auburn, played FCS cupcakes in paycheck games that amounted to virtual byes heading into their Iron Bowl clash on the last day of the month.

Even with that trend, however, there was still plenty of great action across the country. A top-10 showdown in Columbus highlighted the action as No. 2 Ohio State took down No. 8 Penn State 28-17 at the Horseshoe. Did the Buckeyes do enough in victory to leapfrog over LSU into the top spot of the College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings?

That is one of the questions that emerged from a weekend. Could we also see a new team swap with Georgia after the No. 4 Bulldogs put in a lackluster effort in a near-upset against Texas A&M between the hedges?

SMU will likely drop out after holding down the end of the line at No. 25 entering Week 13 — but will it be the Navy team that vanquished the Mustangs that gets to take over that spot in the Top 25this week?

And how far will Oregon fall out of the top 10 after tumbling 31-28 in the desert against Arizona State?!

Keep reading for answers to these questions and more as we do our best to get into the minds of the College Football Playoff selection committee. Here is our latest edition of the Top 25 projections heading into the long Thanksgiving weekend of Week 14 to conclude the regular season.
