Oklahoma Sooners. player. Scouting Report. (10-1). 3. 815. Pick Analysis. at Oklahoma State

It’s the Bedlam game as Oklahoma travels to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State. The Sooners are 12-point favorites over their in-state rivals.

Oklahoma enters the contest with one blemish on their resume, a 48-41 loss at Kansas State at the end of October. The Sooners have already booked their trip next week to Dallas for a rematch against Baylor in the Big 12 Championship game. They’ll be looking for their fourth straight conference title and the Sooners still have an outside chance at a College Football Playoff bid.

Oklahoma State is 8-3 and looking to close the season on a high note. Quarterback Spencer Sanders is out for the year, but backup Dru Brown filled in nicely in his first start against West Virginia last week. He completed 76 percent of his passes, threw for nearly 200 years, found the end zone twice and most importantly, did not turnover the ball. Brown does not have the legs like Sanders did, but the Cowboys have the best running back in the country in Chuba Hubbard to carry their ground game.

The big positive for the Cowboys down the stretch has been their run defense. They have not allowed over 90 yards on the ground in three of the last four contests. This will be key to stopping Jalen Hurts and company.

The Bedlam series has been one sided, with the Sooners owning a 88-18-7 edge and winning the last four meetings. But the Cowboys have been known to cause some Sooner heartache from time to time. Oklahoma has won their last three games by a combined eight points and when you live on the edge so often, eventually you will fall. The Cowboys pull off the big upset and ruin the Sooners playoff dreams.
