2. Critical mistakes late doomed Ole Miss

Sure the game came down to a missed extended extra point, but the turnovers by the Ole Miss Rebels certainly didn’t help. Both the Rebels and the Bulldogs played a physical and clean game. Both teams had only 10 penalties between both teams for under 100 yards.

There were four critical plays that decided this one for the Bulldogs. They turned over the Rebels three times including an interception late in the game and two fumble recoveries early. The most critical mistake was the excessive celebration penalty by wide receiver Elijah Moore. It’s difficult, but you have to keep your composure on that play.

Luke Logan could very well have missed the extra point at normal range, but making life difficult with a 30-yard extra point didn’t help matters either. It’s your heated rival, and that’s the biggest touchdown of your career more that likely, but you have to keep your composure in that situation.
