1. Washington State gets the win

The Cougars have lost the last six Apple Cups to their in-state rival the University of Washington. This year feels different for WSU with the Huskies scuffling and not having the best year. In a run that the Huskies made in the past six years that included trips to the College Football Playoff and many PAC-12 Championships.

This year is not a year that the Huskies have the opportunity to do any of those things listed and seem more vulnerable than ever. I do have to say that they are still seven-point favorites at home so this won’t be the most popular take.

Regardless, the Cougs have been waiting for a shot to beat the Huskies for some time now. Mike Leach has never won a game against Chris Petersen and that narrative could be squashed on the road. Look for the Cougs to come out firing even in the bad weather that usually aids the Huskies going up against the air raid.

Anthony Gordon and the Cougars should be able to extend the UW losing streak to three.
