College GameDay is headed back to Big Ten country for Week 14 as Minnesota hosts Wisconsin. Who will be the crew’s celebrity picker on Saturday?
For the first time ever, College GameDay is headed to Minneapolis to host the weekly show in front of Minnesota Golden Gopher fans.
After some lobbying from PJ Fleck over the last few weeks, the crew decided to head to Minneapolis for one of the biggest games of the Big Ten season with the Gophers hosting Wisconsin for a chance to make the Big Ten title game.
Never before has Minnesota made the Big Ten title game and the Badgers are trying to continue their dominance in the West division, so to say this is huge would be an understatement.
Who would have thought Minnesota would be in the position it’s in at this point in the season with a relatively unknown quarterback and an offense that hadn’t proven much over the past couple of seasons under Fleck? Definitely not me, but Fleck has done an outstanding job and if he didn’t sign an extension with the Gophers this season, he’d be courted by just about every major program that needed a head coach.
With the GameDay crew in town, that means a guest with Minnesota ties will appear at the end of the show to make predictions for the biggest games of the week.
Who will it be for the Gophers this week? Much to the delight of Minnesota fans, Gopher receiving legend Eric Decker will be on campus to make the picks with Lee Corso and the crew. He’s a former All-Big Ten wide out who had over 3,000 yards and 24 touchdowns with the Gophers from 2006-09 before having a successful NFL career.
Catch the now-retired former Gopher on GameDay near the end of the show between 11:30 p.m. ET and noon. Obviously he picks the Gophers, but can he become the top guest picker of the season and go perfect, beating John Goodman?
