2. Kansas State dominated the trenches

It was stated multiple times throughout the telecast, Kansas State has started the same five linemen in each game this season — the only Big 12 team to do so.

The Wildcats’ front was dominant all game long, paving the way for 231 yards — it was 241 before a late loss of yardage by Skylar Thompson affected the final amount. They opened up major running lanes for Jordon Brown, Thompson and Jacardia Wright and the Wildcats looked like a force to be reckoned with on the ground.

There’s an old cliche that states that the team that controls the line of scrimmage usually wins the game and Kansas State did just that.

It was obvious that Iowa State’s line struggled as it led to just 51 rushing yards for the Cyclones and Brock Purdy was constantly running for his life.
