1. Ohio State is a lock for the College Football Playoff

The way in which the College Football Playoff Committee is going to set their rankings each week is almost not even worth predicting. They have been incredibly inconsistent and frustrating. However, no matter what happens the rest of this season, there isn’t really a scenario where Coach Ryan Day’s Buckeyes are left out of the playoff.

Ohio State shutout No. 19 Cincinnati earlier this season, 42-0. They beat No. 12 Wisconsin by 31 points and No. 10 Penn State by double-digits as well. Now, the Buckeyes just beat their rival, No. 13 Michigan, by 29 points.

Even if the Buckeyes lose next week in the Big Ten Championship Game, Ohio State will undoubtedly be the best one-loss team in the country. Although, I have a funny feeling Justin Fields and Co. will continue their dominance and cruise to a Big Ten Championship. For now, the Ohio State Buckeyes will remain at No. 1 in the country.
