It took six plays, 75 yards and a little more than two minutes for LSU to take a 7-0 lead over Texas A&M football. It wasn’t until the Tigers’ sixth possession that the Aggies were able to force their first punt of the evening. By then, it was too late.
Kellen Mond and Co. seemed shell-shocked. Completely overwhelmed by the magnitude and the talent of the SEC’s cream of the crop. The same LSU offense which torched the Alabama defense earlier this season jumped out to a commanding 34-0 lead before Texas A&M was able to muster their first points of the evening.
Texas A&M football will regroup and prepare for a bowl game. The difference for this team between a 7-win regular season and an 8-win campaign wouldn’t have been too different. Rather, their twelth and final game ended as a missed opportunity in a season full of missed chances.
