3. Mike Leach, Washington State HC

It seems like Mike Leach is halfway out the door at Washington State, and recruits heavily in the southeast. If it’s not Ole Miss, I do think Leach will leave for one of the three openings in the SEC.

Many teams are wary of Leach after the way he went at the reporter last week, calling him a “sanctimonious troll”. But his pedigree and ability to bring an entertaining element to his football teams, they generally rank among the top offenses in football, is always intriguing.

The issue I see with Leach is scheme fit to the roster. Obviously Leach would need to recruit his own guys, but Leach would mean a multi-year rebuild, as the Ole Miss passing offense was just average this last season.

But Leach is a proven winner, and just crazy enough that he may be able to build a contender in the SEC West.
