With Wisconsin’s win over Minnesota, the Badgers get a rematch against Ohio State in Big Ten football’s title game. What will be the story this time around?
The regular season is over and before we get into bowl season, we have championship weekend which will determine not only conference champions, but who is in for the playoff and who is out. For the Big Ten conference, we have a rematch of 2017’s title game and a rematch from just a month and a half ago, as undefeated Ohio State from the East takes on two-loss Wisconsin from the West.
Everyone thought these two teams were on a collision course to play each other twice this season, regardless of the winner from their first meeting in October. But after dropping the first meeting, the Badgers found themselves down two games in conference play, losing to Illinois in upset fashion just the week before. And following Minnesota’s win over Penn State, it seemed the the Badgers would not get their shot at redemption.
However, Minnesota dropped their game versus Iowa, making Wisconsin’s match up with the Golden Gophers a winner takes all affair. And Wisconsin did just that, winning 38-17, completing their regular season and booking a trip to Indianapolis.
But what does the rest of the conference look like following the final week of the season? Well, no need to wait, check out the updated power rankings for the Big Ten.
