But the question entering the offseason surrounds their head coach, Jeff Brohm. He signed an extension after last year but with some big time job openings, could he be on his way out?

Finishing the season at .500 is usually marked down as a bad season for most teams, but for the Illini’s case, this season was a success. Though it ended on a two game losing streak, the Illini went on a stretch of four straight wins, starting with an upset win over Wisconsin and finishing with a bowl clinching victory.

The Michigan State Spartans avoided missing postseason play but plenty of questions still surround this program that is moving in the wrong direction. Could we see the Spartans move on from Mark Dantonio this offseason? I think it depends more on who is available to replace the head coach, as the Spartans could hold onto him for one more year if no one entices them this year.

The Indiana Hoosiers dropped two consecutive games following their 7-2 start, but respectively so, those losses were Penn State and Michigan. The other two losses on the Hoosiers’ resume are to Ohio State and Michigan State, giving them four losses in their four biggest games but the Hoosiers have done what they were supposed to and won the games that were expected of them. A great season for a good team on the rise.
