. . vs. Baylor. 815. (11-1). Oklahoma Sooners. 2. player

Just like the Mountain West title game, the Big 12 Championship features a rematch. Of course a rematch happens yearly in the title game with the conference’s nine game round robin schedule format. This year Oklahoma faces off against Baylor and the Sooners are nine point favorites.

It was just three weeks ago when Oklahoma erased a 25 point deficit to defeat Baylor 34-31 and stun the home crowd in Waco. The Bears would love some revenge and give themselves with a chance to nab a spot in the playoff. Oklahoma also has playoff aspirations and of winning their third consecutive Big 12 championship.

Since the disappointing loss, Baylor has clamped down on the defensive side of the ball, allowing a total of 16 points in the last two games while scoring 85. Most of those points came in last week’s 61-6 dismantling of Kansas.

In order to pull the upset, Baylor will need to get defensive which they were doing against Oklahoma in the first matchup until it all fell apart. The Bears forced three Jalen Hurts fumbles and recovered two of them while also collecting an interception. On the season Baylor is allowing only 18 points per game and 350 total yards. They have one of the better defenses in the conference and will need to rely on it heavily in the title game.

Baylor is out for revenge Saturday afternoon and while this is a neutral site game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, it is not too far away from Baylor’s campus. Expect a sizable Baylor contingent there and for them to not allow Oklahoma to make a comeback this time.
