3. Defense plays big

I know what you are thinking, with a potential Heisman winner and all of the offensive weapons on both sides of the ball, how will the defenses do well here? Hear me out.

The SEC championship is always a grind with so much talent on the field at the same time. It also helps that LSU might have the best secondary in the whole country and both defenses are as stout as they come.

Georgia has been able to get to the championship because of the defense and there will be no change on Saturday. They will manage the clock with Jake Fromm and run the ball as much as possible. LSU and Georgia both will have to go against offensive lines that impose their will and are good on the ground.

Look for this game to be more nitty-gritty than people expect. The trenches are going to be a key part of anyone’s win on Saturday. LSU should be fired up under Ed Orgeron and have no letdown, but Kirby Smart and the Georgia defense are streaking.
