2. This was a classic back-and-forth title game

This was everything you want in a conference championship game. During a time slot in which both the SEC and the Mountain West Conference title games were blowouts, this one was a game for the ages.

Memphis, a nine-point favorite coming into this game, did all it could to keep Cincinnati off of its heels. The Bearcats struck first after Memphis tried and failed with an onside kick attempt to begin the game. Memphis, however, scored a field goal and a touchdown on their first two possessions to take a 10-7 lead. Both defenses held firm until a Cincinnati touchdown late in the second quarter for a 14-10 lead.

The Tigers got the ball and scored on their first possession of the second half to take a 17-14 lead. The Bearcats would score again to take a 21-17 lead. The Tigers  would answer the Bearcats touchdown with a field goal to cut the lead to one point. After a critical interception, the Tigers would kick a field goal to make it 23-21.

Both teams traded punts, and Cincinnati kicked a field goal to take another one point lead late in the fourth quarter. Tigers quarterback Brady White led the Tigers on a game winning 75-yard touchdown drive to win the game. Simply a classic.
