With just hours until the College Football Playoff committee sit for Selection Sunday, who can we expect to see in the final four?

Good morning football fans, it’s Selection Sunday. With just a few hours until the College Football Playoff committee announce their decision on the four teams that will compete for the National Championship, anticipation is building. Which teams will fight it out to book their ticket to New Orleans?

We entered Week 15, Championship Weekend, with an abundance of scenarios that could make for pandemonium and an interesting College Football Playoff conversation.

One by one, however, those scenarios failed to materialize.

It started on Friday night. Utah, going into the Pac-12 Championship Game ranked fifth in the nation, had the opportunity to make the College Football Playoff with a win. Their inclusion had been the topic of heated debate. On the national stage, they had the perfect stage to prove their legitimacy.

Oregon had other ideas. The Ducks dominated the Utes in almost every facet of the game, C.J. Verdell had a career night rushing for 208 yards and three touchdowns. The formidable Utah defense folded, and the usually reliable Tyler Huntley threw two interceptions as the Utes lost 37-15.

So, going into Saturday, there were six teams left to battle it out for the final four College Football Playoff spots.

How did it play out? What will the impact be? Who will make up the final four?
