2. Talented wide outs

As a quarterback, it’s always nice to have some help from the players you’re throwing to. Whether it be speed or great hands to route running, a premier wideout can make a good quarterback, a great quarterback and a great quarterback, a Heisman candidate.

Both LSU and Oklahoma have some of the best wide receivers in all of college football, having NFL scouts salivating at just the thought of how much passing is going to take place in the Peach Bowl.

The LSU Tigers have a pair of receivers, JaMarr Chase and Justin Jefferson, that have combined for better numbers this season than LSU legends Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry ever did. Both Chase and Jefferson have over 70 receptions, over 1,200 receiving yards and have combined for 32 touchdowns on the season. Joe Burrow has been phenomenal this year but Chase and Jefferson have made things a little easier for him.

On the other side, the Oklahoma Sooners have CeeDee Lamb, who entering the 2019 season was considered to be one of the best receivers in the nation and potentially, the first receiver to be selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. Lamb surpassed his already impressive numbers from his sophomore year, doing so in two less games. He has the big play ability and the clutch gene, something that will translate perfectly playing on Sundays.

That, paired with the ice running through the calm and collected Jalen Hurts, makes for a dangerous combination for the LSU defense to defend.
