2. Andy Ludwig is going to get Bentley to another level

If you look at what offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Andy Ludwig has done over his career, it’s actually astounding.

First, he was an offensive coordinator for Oregon from 2002-04 and he didn’t exactly have prolific passers under his reign and still managed to help lead the Ducks to a couple of bowl games.

Then he went to Utah where he was the offensive coordinator under Kyle Whittingham from 2005-08 and finished with a 13-0 season where the Utes put up points like it was nothing, averaging around 37 per game. He then left to become Cal’s offensive coordinator for two years under Jeff Tedford before going to San Diego State, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt and now back to Utah.

What he did in his first year back with the Utes for Tyler Huntley was nothing short of amazing. He turned Huntley into one of the nation’s most accurate passers and a true Heisman candidate, passing for nearly 3,000 yards and 18 touchdowns with just four picks — two of those came in the Pac-12 title game. He ranks sixth nationally in QBR.

If he could do that with Huntley, just imagine what he can do for a quarterback like Huntley who has all the passing skills in the world, just needs the right coaching.

Ludwig is going to get Huntley to the next level, work on that accuracy and cut down the turnovers. If that’s the case, this Utah offense will be just as scary.
